1. Smartly Correct English Grammar Errors

In Google Translate, there is a high probability that "～できません" will be translated as "can not".

In the above example, "can not" is grammatically incorrect and should be "cannot".

●Replacement String: cannot

By defining this, you can avoid making the same corrections multiple times.

2. Remove unnecessary spaces in URLs and paths

If unnecessary spaces are included in the URL or path that becomes a link, the link will not function.

In the case of the above example, the translation from regular Google Translate contains six unnecessary spaces before and after the backslash. This means that when post-editing, it is necessary to delete these six spaces.

This is the only sentence, but there may be content where URLs and paths appear multiple times. There is a possibility of accidentally deleting necessary characters while removing spaces.

When defined in this way, spaces before and after the backslash will always be removed.

3. Replace commonly mistranslated proper nouns

Some companies may have rules for capitalization in English company names (e.g. all English company names are capitalized).

In this case,

When set, it will always be displayed in uppercase letters.

In addition, if the product name is written in katakana, there may be cases where the expected terms are not applied in the translated text. For example, in the second sentence, if we want to capitalize the "b" in "PE booster".

By setting this, it will always be displayed in the correct English product name.

In addition, with machine translation, commonly used terms and phrases are generally translated. For example, if the English name for "sales department" within a company is "business development department", Google Translate will often translate "営業部" as "sales department".

●Search String: sales (department|dept)

●Replacement Text: Business Development Department

By defining it in this way, even if "営業部" is mistakenly translated as "sales department" or "sales dept" by machine translation, it will be displayed in the correct English department name.
