Background

Cygames, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Cygames, abbreviated) Technical Artist team is developing internal tools necessary for game development. Due to the difficulty of securing time to maintain manuals while also developing internal tools, there have been situations where we were unable to provide users with manuals of sufficient quality.

In July 2018, we received a request to improve the manual using Confluence.

Challenges at the time of request

Creation Process

Technical writers are stationed at the Cygames office to create manuals while understanding the tools.

In this project, we received a request to "smoothly convey information about tool functions".

One writer was stationed at the client's office, and performed the main writing tasks, while another writer from Human Science Co., Ltd. supported the project by providing design and writing assistance within the company.
