Challenges before implementation

I want to create an official manual for users for formal sales.

In December 2017, we received an inquiry on our Human Science website stating, "We are currently creating simple manuals for engineers, but we would like to create official manuals for sale."

English, expansion to Chinese-speaking countries, and subsequent expansion to Europe were considered, and there was a need to include information on safety regulations for each export, and support for that was also desired.

Reasons for Choosing Human Science

Proposal for a progress plan tailored to our extensive track record and product releases

A competition was held between Human Science Co., Ltd. and another company. The deciding factors were their track record in manual creation, having a writer with experience in PCR equipment, and their ability to respond quickly until product release.

Introduction Process

Confirm existing manuals and create table of contents structure and sample manuscript.

In January 2018, we reviewed existing manuals and software for engineers, and created a table of contents. At the same time, we created design proposals and sample manuscripts, and solidified the direction of production.

User Manual Creation

Created the manuscript based on the engineering manual from January to March 2018.
We were provided with a PCR device and accompanying software to confirm the actual operation while writing.
In addition, we were able to deepen our understanding of the product by actually showing us how to operate the PCR device during multiple meetings.
Furthermore, by receiving illustrations and screen data of the product, we were able to complete the production in a short period of time.

Quick Start Manual Creation

In March 2018, we extracted the operating instructions for the PCR device from the user manual and created a quick start manual.
Using Illustrator, we created data for double-sided A3 printing.

Introduction Effect

A user-friendly manual has been created that is easy to understand even for users without knowledge.

We are satisfied with the easy-to-read and easy-to-understand manual that was created for us, despite the limited time until product release.
Additionally, we appreciate that it was created in Japanese that is easy to translate, taking into consideration our multi-language deployment.
