About APRESIA Systems

APRESIA Systems, Ltd. has gradually entered the market with broadcasting antennas in the 1960s, information network equipment in the 1980s, and system integration business and mobile base station antennas in the 1990s, under the former Hitachi Cable, Ltd.


In December 2016, we were separated from Hitachi Metals and have been supporting the development of our lives and society as an information system specialized company that provides added value to information system infrastructure such as social infrastructure solutions, security solutions, and information system operation management solutions.


Human Science has been assisting with the creation of the manual for APRESIA Systems' Ethernet switch "ApresiaNP Series" since 2015.


"ApresiaNP Series" is a next-generation L2, L3 switch that has been highly evolved for corporate networks, equipped with security management and QoS functions, while achieving low cost.

    We have created a new manual, and we believe that it is essential for all parties involved to reach a consensus. Therefore, we have spent a lot of time designing the overall process, roles and responsibilities for each process, and outputs.

    Our company particularly emphasized clarifying the purpose and target audience during the table of contents and prototype design stage.

    In addition, we made sure to share the target quality and check points for each proofreading process through a checklist, in order to clarify the position of each work process and proceed with production.

    We feel that by establishing standards in anticipation of future operations, we have been able to achieve a certain level of quality in our production.


    As many stakeholders are involved in the project, the key person who summarizes the production policy and points of improvement for the manual has become important. However, the success was also due to the fact that the person in charge led the project while being busy with their duties.

    In addition, not only the development and SQA personnel, but also the support personnel have participated, allowing us to thoroughly examine the most suitable manual from the user's perspective.

    As it became a long-term project lasting for one year, schedule management became a challenge. In addition, it was necessary to prioritize and steadily advance the project while flexibly responding to revisions in the development schedule due to new products. By organizing action items thoroughly and clearly presenting what each person should do, we were able to steadily make progress.

    In addition, there were many tasks that required the presence of technical experts and checking of manuals, so it was important to constantly share the purpose of the work within the company.

    A proposal with options that took into consideration the pros and cons of reaching an agreement and how to proceed was made during the meeting, greatly aiding in involving the company internally.


    The completed manual not only covers all necessary content, but also has added value that appeals to users. In particular, when engineers individually finalize the text, the content and depth may vary depending on the person. However, the know-how to standardize the overall quality felt like the work of a professional with specialized knowledge in writing.
