"Aiming for business efficiency through the use of RPA"

--Please tell us about the background of the e-learning implementation.

Mr. Imai: Our company has set the goal of improving operational efficiency through the use of RPA. We believe that education on the use of RPA, as well as IT education as a preliminary step, is necessary.
Given the need to promote DX, we planned to implement e-learning on "Logical Thinking," "Data Utilization," and "Overview of RPA" in the Corporate Planning Department, which also handles information system functions.

-- Please tell us the reason you chose our company.

Mr. Kozuka: Initially, we considered using commercially available e-learning materials. However, since many are offered in a subscription format, it would become costly to implement long-term e-learning education for all employees. Therefore, we decided to create original e-learning materials.

Mr. Takazawa: We plan to start training in January 2022 and contacted several companies in October 2021. Since we were in a hurry, we decided to place an order with Human Science Co., Ltd. due to their quick response and good cost performance.
Initially, we considered starting without an e-learning system, but Human Science Co., Ltd. introduced us to Moodle, an LMS. It is open-source and can be built in an on-premise environment, so we installed it ourselves.
There were some settings and aspects we did not understand, and since there was not much time before the launch, we decided to ask Human Science Co., Ltd., which has a proven track record in construction.
We also considered other LMS options that could be built in an on-premise environment, but we chose Moodle because it is open-source and helps keep costs down.

"Professional narration and animation make it easy to read and understand"

--How has the response been since you started education through e-learning?

Mr. Kitsuzuka: It is aimed at all employees, and more people are using it than initially planned.
Participants have commented that "the professional narration and animations make it easy to see and understand."
Additionally, the materials were created in PowerPoint, and by organizing them for e-learning, it has been beneficial that they can also be used as materials for group training and workshops.

Mr. Takazawa I have some questions regarding the operation of Moodle, but I am able to use it without any issues.

-- How was the progress of the project and communication?

Mr. Kozuka: We proceeded with our first attempt at e-learning, exploring it step by step.
It was hard to imagine what kind of materials would be produced, but I am glad that the outcome exceeded our expectations.

Mr. Takazawa: While meeting deadlines is important, I felt that the prompt response to questions was excellent.
Regarding the implementation of Moodle, I received same-day responses to my inquiries. Even before the contract stage, I felt reassured as I received immediate answers to my questions about how it could be done and what could be achieved.

-- Do you have any future plans or new initiatives you would like to pursue?

Mr. Kozuka: We have purchased the learning creation tool iSpring, and we would like to create teaching materials in-house and further promote the use of e-learning.

Mr. Takazawa: Currently, only employee names can be registered on Moodle, but we are considering managing participants in the future. We plan to integrate with our internal HR system and implement operations at the organizational level, and we would like to further enhance its utilization.
