Profession Network Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established in May 2012 by Seibunsha Co., Ltd., which publishes practical books in the fields of taxation, accounting, and law, and is affiliated with the qualification school TAC.
The company is focused on supporting professionals and practitioners primarily involved in taxation and corporate accounting, centering around tax accountants. We provide web magazines, conduct seminars and study sessions, offer books at discounted prices, and provide matching services between tax accountants and clients.
What is the role of the Pronet site in your business?
A point of contact with customers, the "sales store" that provides information and services. It is an essential element necessary for the company to conduct its business.
What are the reasons for choosing Human Science?
We conducted a competition with multiple vendors based on a referral from the system department of our parent company. After reviewing proposals and estimates from each company, two key points led us to choose Human Science.
The first point is that while other companies had their presidents present the proposals, Human Science had a presentation by engineers who are actually involved in the development. If we hear directly from the engineers who will be in the development phase and will have specific interactions, I believe there will be no gaps like "this is not what I expected" after placing the order.
The second point is the content of the proposal. The system being developed is positioned not just as a "tool" but as an important tool to realize the company's business strategy, and effective functions were proposed from that stance. I felt a good sense of sales and reliability.
Are you glad you used WordPress?
Human Science not only provides the system but also offers extensive support, such as lectures on WordPress. They are always willing to patiently teach us anything we don't understand.
Rather than the WordPress itself, I feel that the WordPress provided by Human Science is user-friendly.
Please share your feedback on the work in human sciences
Unlike the web-based system development companies we have worked with so far, they not only develop systems but also provide additional services, for which we are both grateful and impressed.
I believe that any system development company aims to create a "box" of a perfect system, focusing on stability and robustness according to the requirements definition. However, Human Science considers the true business intentions of the client, such as "What will that box be used for?" and "Why are we trying to spend a lot of money to create that box?"
The reason for investing in the system ultimately lies in increasing membership, generating revenue, and achieving business success.
It is very helpful that you consider the necessary features and user interfaces, as well as the background.
Furthermore, while the client has individuals with specialized knowledge of the system for the development of core systems, we on the line have no systematic knowledge at all. Therefore, it is reassuring that you can understand the context and not just take our words at face value.
I am glad I chose Human Science. I consider them more as a "business partner" than a "cooperating company for development and operation maintenance."
From Human Science representatives
The request this time was to build a membership site that offers multiple services, such as a web weekly magazine and book sales.
Since it already has basic blog functionality and can be customized with the introduction of plugins, it is possible to build it in a short period of time, so we proposed WordPress at Human Science.
Each service, such as the web weekly magazine, book sales, and seminar applications, matched well without compromising the functionality of WordPress, so I believe it was a very good choice in the end.
We established a development team of four people, dividing and collaborating on the development of each service.
This time, we received very specific requests regarding specifications and features from our customers, which led to active discussions between the customers and developers.
Ultimately, I believe we were able to build a site that meets their needs with almost no mismatches, which is very satisfying.
Moving forward, we want to continue contributing to the development of our customers' services by developing new services and enhancing existing ones.
