Recently, the TAUS Executive Forum was held at the Oracle Aoyama Center, bringing together key figures at the forefront of the translation industry from around the world. Participants included executives, professors, and engineers, and a wide range of discussions on translation and interpretation took place.

TAUS (Translation Automation Users Society) is a membership organization composed of companies related to translation. It promotes innovations such as machine translation and cloud translation. Recently, neural machine translation (NMT), which is said to be capable of translations at a level comparable to humans, has been a hot topic. Among the presentations at this event, there were several regarding the latest research findings on NMT and ways to utilize future automatic translation/interpreting technologies.

At this event, Human Science presented on the theme of "Post-Editor Training Framework - Responding to Neural Machine Translation."As machine translation technology has rapidly evolved and the demand for neural machine translation (NMT) solutions has increased, translation companies need more post-editors (those who refine machine translations). Additionally, it is very important to continuously train post-editors to meet the final quality requirements.Machine translation has already been used in actual business, and many guidelines have been prepared with various initiatives undertaken. However, some of these guidelines and initiatives can be applied to the latest NMT, while others cannot. In Human Science's presentation, we discussed how we are addressing these challenges, incorporating the results of a survey conducted with translators.

During this event, I was once again reminded of the accelerating adoption of machine translation by companies. At Human Science, we will continue to keep up with the latest machine translation technologies and provide solutions and services that utilize these technologies.
We offer a range of options, from solutions that combine machine translation and translation support tools to user-friendly web-based machine translation services. Please feel free to consult with us.
