Presented on "Machine Translation and Terminology Application" at LocWorld36 Tokyo

The other day, the international event for the localization/translation/interpretation industry, LocWorld, was held at Hilton Tokyo Bay, bringing together industry professionals from around the world.

The theme of this LocWorld is "Digital Transformation". There were various presentations on the impact on business and the surrounding environment, as well as how to utilize these latest technologies such as IoT, big data, blockchain, and AI.

Nearly 30 presentations were given, but the conclusion of most of the presentations we listened to was "the most important thing is people" and "deeper communication is necessary". No matter how much technology advances, the connection between people will continue to be important in the future.

At this event, Yuki Nakayama from Human Science Co., Ltd. gave a presentation on "Applying Glossaries to Neural Machine Translation".

In recent years, many companies have been offering neural machine translation services, but the essential terminology function required for industrial translation is not yet fully implemented. As a result, the adoption of neural machine translation has not progressed in industrial translation.

At Human Science Co., Ltd., we are actively utilizing neural machine translation while testing methods for terminology application.

In this presentation, we shared the process of trial and error in machine translation and terminology testing, and explained the methods currently being used at Human Science.

Human Science Co., Ltd. has a proven track record of implementing machine translation and offers a variety of options to meet our customers' needs.

If you have concerns such as "Unable to apply terms in neural machine translation, so unable to decide whether to introduce it or not," please feel free to consult Human Science.
