Presented at the TAUS Executive Forum on "Post-edit Training Framework"

The other day, the TAUS Executive Forum was held at the Oracle Aoyama Center, bringing together leading figures in the translation industry from around the world. Participants included executives, professors, and technicians, and a wide range of discussions on translation and interpretation took place.

TAUS (Translation Automation Users Society) is a membership organization made up of members from companies related to translation. It promotes innovations such as machine translation and cloud translation. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about neural machine translation (NMT), which is said to be capable of translating at the same level as humans. In this event, there were many presentations on the latest research on NMT and how to utilize future automatic translation/interpretation technologies.

At this event, Human Science presented on the theme of "Post-Editor Training Framework for Neural Machine Translation".
As machine translation technology continues to evolve, the demand for solutions using Neural Machine Translation (NMT) is increasing, and translation companies are in need of more post-editors (those who revise machine-translated text). In order to meet the final quality requirements, it is crucial to continuously train post-editors.
Machine translation has been used in actual business situations, and many guidelines and initiatives have been developed. However, some of these guidelines and initiatives may not be applicable to the latest NMT technology.
In our presentation, we shared how we are addressing these challenges, including survey results from translators.
