Trados/Memsource/memoQ Translation Support Tool Implementation and Operation Seminar (2019/8/21 Free)

On August 21, 2019, at Human Science Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo)

Trados/Memsource/memoQ
Translation Support Tool Implementation and Operation Seminar to Maximize Cost Effectiveness

Will be held.

Overview

More and more companies are introducing translation support tools (CAT tools) such as Trados Studio, Memsource, and memoQ with the aim of improving translation productivity and reducing translation costs.

One of the biggest concerns when introducing these tools is cost-effectiveness. For example, do you have any of the following concerns?

- Despite introducing translation support tools, we have not been able to achieve the expected cost and workload reduction effects...

- Can't make a decision on introducing translation support tools because I don't understand the cost-effectiveness...

In this seminar, we will introduce two effective approaches to maximize the cost-effectiveness of translation support tools.

①Optimizing Translation Workflows

▼Recommended for people like this.

・Translation processes and tool utilization vary depending on the person.

- Translation memory creation and management is often left to outsourced translation companies or translators, and is not being properly utilized as an asset.

- Cannot reuse the translated text as there are different expressions in the translation memory

②Standardization of Japanese documents

▼Recommended for people like this.

- Translation work takes time because Japanese writing can be difficult to understand and may contain errors.

・Translation volume has increased due to duplicate descriptions in Japanese.

- Due to inconsistent terminology and notation in Japanese, inconsistencies may also occur in translations.

By implementing these approaches, the greatest benefit of introducing translation support tools, which is the accumulation and reuse of translation memory (past translation assets), can be effectively carried out.

In this seminar, we will introduce the points and improvement examples of each approach.

Case Study 1: Translation Cost Reduction of 20% for Industrial Machinery Manufacturer

Optimizing the translation workflow for manuals and specifications

Case Study 2: 50% Reduction in Translation Workload for Robot Manufacturer

Standardization of Japanese documents for translation of instruction manuals and specifications

After the seminar, we will be happy to provide individual consultations as needed.

※This seminar is expected to have approximately 80% of the content from the "Learn from Case Studies! Translation Cost and Work Reduction Seminar" held in June 2019, and approximately 50% of the content from the "Trados/Memsource/memoQ Translation Memory and Glossary Creation Seminar" held in April 2019. Please be aware of this.
