Digital transformation (DX) utilizing data and digital technology is gaining attention in order to respond to the rapidly changing business environment.

As a result of the rapid changes in work style and service due to the novel coronavirus, some leading companies are looking to further promote system investments with growth and transformation in mind.

In this background, we have also seen an increase in inquiries from our clients regarding inventory of business operations and improvement/maintenance of manuals due to the renewal of our internal system.

Refreshing our internal systems means transforming the way we work and think. To drive this transformation, we need to define the purpose of the system, how to use it, and the company's intentions and goals in documents such as manuals, and share them with our employees.

However, it seems that many companies are facing the following challenges.

  • - It is difficult to define as a manual because the overall flow and relevance of the work is difficult to understand due to the different systems used for each task.
  • - Because the current manual is not organized systematically, information is scattered across operation manuals and business descriptions, making it difficult to understand how to summarize the entire manual.
  • - The scope of work is wide and there are multiple players, so it is unclear which perspective and level of granularity should be used to develop the manual.
  • - Since each system has its own development personnel creating manuals, the content is limited to each manual and is not summarized from a business perspective.

There is not one form for manuals. The appropriate form varies depending on the industry, challenges faced by each company, system, how work is carried out, and objectives. Simply adopting another company's approach may not work well.

The purpose of our manual maintenance and the phase of designing the ideal state are important.

In this seminar, we will introduce methods for current analysis in the manual design phase, know-how for manual design tailored to each company, and examples of other companies that are working on manual maintenance for business systems.

We also conduct workshops on analysis methods, so you can immediately put them into practice when you return to your company.

This is a must-see content for all those in charge who are trying to work on the maintenance of manuals accompanying the introduction and renewal of internal systems.
