———————————————————————————————————————

Many companies are being forced to transition to a different way of working, such as telecommuting and staggered commuting, in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

On the other hand, it is also a fact that many companies are hesitant to introduce new ways of working, despite feeling the need for it.

One of the main reasons for this is that many Japanese companies struggle with the characteristic of their corporate culture, which is the lack of clear organization and division of tasks.

I want to introduce telework, but...

  • - Up until now, I have judged the workload based on the visible members and allocated tasks based on my own sense of balance. However, when they are no longer visible, I am unsure of how to allocate tasks.
  • - It seems difficult to help each other or distribute the workload remotely because it is a black box as to who is doing what.
  • - Even if new or mid-career employees join, work cannot progress without giving detailed instructions in person about the overall picture of the job and what needs to be done now.

Many Japanese companies rely on individual employees for their business operations and methods, resulting in a lack of objective organization of the overall business. As a result, instructions and handovers are often based on intuition and oral tradition, and when working remotely, productivity can suddenly decrease due to the inability to carry out tasks effectively.

When introducing a new way of working, the first thing that tends to be focused on are tools and systems, but at our company, we believe that it is important to first take stock and organize current tasks, clearly define roles and responsibilities for each task, and document them in a manual as the first step.

In this seminar, we will introduce tips for organizing business as a manual creation company, as well as examples of other companies (major electronics manufacturers, major telecommunications companies, etc.) that are working on business manual maintenance.

Through our Business Organization Workshop, you can learn practical skills that will help you improve and maintain your company's internal operations. This is a valuable resource for those who are looking to develop and improve their internal manuals, as well as those who want to organize their own work.
