~Visualizing business challenges that cannot be solved by the system alone~

will be held.

As work style reforms are being promoted, many companies are embarking on initiatives aimed at improving their operations. As part of this, an increasing number of companies are focusing on reviewing and organizing their operational manuals.

For example...

  • We want to create a business manual this term in conjunction with the review of operations due to the renewal of the ERP system.
  • Since the way of conducting business differs by location, we want to standardize our operations by developing manuals.
  • Due to the expansion of our business, we have significantly increased hiring, and we want to create an operations manual to efficiently train employees and standardize the quality of our work.

There are many manual creation tools and systems available, but is it really possible to solve these challenges solely with tools and systems? Many people may wonder about this.

In fact, many companies continue to suffer from the same issues as before the system implementation, such as manuals not being used and manuals being uploaded in a disorganized manner, even after the system has been introduced.

Manuals tend to have subjective judgments regarding their quality, making it difficult to objectively measure the effectiveness of improvements. In many cases, if one recklessly starts improvements or makes mistakes in the approach, the efforts can end up being wasted.

However, in order to properly measure the effects of improvements and achieve results that lead to business enhancements,

  • 1. First, organize the current issues and needs related to the manual.
  • ② Clearly define the priority of issues and ensure a common understanding among stakeholders regarding the purpose and effects of improvements

is necessary.

We believe that by sharing perspectives on what the current issues are, what the priority issues should be, and what the desired state of individuals (or things) should be after improvements, we can finally stand at the starting line for manual improvement.

This seminar will focus on the method of visualizing current issues as a pre-phase for reviewing and organizing business manuals, specifically through "interviews" with stakeholders. We will share know-how on how to make the challenges and needs related to the manuals apparent through these interviews.

Based on actual project examples, we will discuss the interview content, subsequent improvement measures, and effectiveness evaluation, so we hope this will be a valuable reference for everyone who is working on improving manuals.
