I will speak at the TC Symposium 2018 in Kyoto on "The Transformation of Industrial Equipment Manuals Brought About by the Fourth Industrial Revolution."

Panel Discussion of TC Symposium 2018 Kyoto on October 5, 2018 (Tuesday)

The Transformation of Industrial Equipment Manuals Brought by the Fourth Industrial Revolution - The Ideal Form of Usage Information in Production Sites Opened Up by Internet Technology and TC Technology

Tetsuya Nakajima, a manual creation consultant, will take the stage as a coordinator.

Purpose of the Discussion and Purpose of the Lecture

Product manuals for industrial equipment and devices used in production sites have been created from the manufacturer's perspective. In the era of IoT, where various products from different manufacturers are connected through networks, if we continue to provide information on individual products that ignores the on-site users, TC will be left behind by the wave of Industry 4.0.

By closely integrating internet technology and TC technology, can TC contribute more to improving productivity and quality on-site by optimally operating and managing all usage information, from product installation, operation, and maintenance manuals to on-site business manuals?

As the Fourth Industrial Revolution progresses, engineers working on improving operations in production sites, internet researchers, and digital content creators gather to explore the potential effects and areas where TC can be utilized in production environments, seeking the ideal form of future usage information.
