"The Desired Skills and Development Method in In-house Manuals: Recommendations for Industrial Equipment Manual Creation and Translation in the Connected Industries Era"

Purpose of Discussion Lecture Purpose

In the production site of industrial machinery manuals, close collaboration between the development/design department and the TC department is required for manual creation, so there are many cases where it is necessary to handle it internally.

What changes are required in the production site in the midst of challenges such as productivity improvement due to work style reform, prompt response to multilingual manuals due to globalization, fundamental reform of production processes, and labor shortage due to declining birthrate and aging population?

With the arrival of the Connected Industries era, industrial equipment is becoming increasingly intelligent, and the Internet of Things (IoT) is organically connecting things and people, accelerating the "autonomization" of production sites with the wave of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, combined with big data and AI.

However, there is a sense of crisis that product manuals are being left behind by this wave.

What kind of industrial equipment manual is expected in such a situation in the production site? How should the required personnel and skills for its creation and translation change? And we will show our thoughts on how to nurture people.
