"A Method to Change Person-Dependent Work! ~ Work Style Reform to Enhance Productivity in TC Operations~" I will be speaking at the TC Symposium 2019 in Kyoto.

October 11, 2019 (Friday) TC Symposium 2019 Kyoto Panel Discussion

A Method to Change Person-Dependent Work! ~ Work Style Reform to Enhance Productivity in TC Operations ~

Hiroyuki Yasuoka, a manual creation consultant, will take the stage as a coordinator.

Purpose of the Discussion

In departments where manuals are produced in-house by manufacturers, it tends to be the case that the same person is responsible for the work. When prioritizing ease of work, such as product knowledge and connections with development designers, there is a tendency for the work to become like a personal shop.

Even if we introduce manual production tools and translation support systems to standardize work, there may be more fundamental factors at play if the personnel and areas of responsibility do not change.

In this session, we will explore methods and know-how to change the way we work in a dependent manner, drawing hints from experts in other industries, extracting and analyzing factors that tend to become dependent, and seeking hints to solve them.

Discussion Points

・ What is personalization (person-dependent work)?

・ Share in-house manual production business content

・ Identify and organize tasks and factors that are prone to personalization

・ Explore the factors of individual dependency and hints for their resolution from the perspective of human resource development

・ Explore hints for identifying the factors of personalization and their solutions from the perspective of behavioral observation

- Extract and delve into methods that seem to solve the personalization of TC operations
