Digital transformation (DX) utilizing data and digital technology is gaining attention to respond to the rapid changes in the business environment.
The way we work and the nature of services have changed dramatically due to the new coronavirus, prompting some advanced companies to further promote system investments aimed at growth and transformation.
Against this backdrop, we have seen an increase in inquiries from our clients regarding the inventory of operations and the improvement/maintenance of manuals due to the renewal of internal systems.
Revamping the internal system means transforming the way we work and our mindset. To drive this transformation, it is necessary to define the system's intent, how it should be used, and how we want to advance our business in documents such as manuals, and share this with employees as the company's intentions and objectives.
However, it seems that many companies face challenges like the following.
- Due to the different systems used for various operations, it is difficult to define the overall flow and relationships of the operations as a manual.
- The current manuals are not systematically organized, resulting in information being scattered across operation procedures and business descriptions, making it unclear how to consolidate everything.
- Due to the wide scope of work and the presence of multiple players, it is unclear from which perspective and to what level of detail the manuals should be developed.
- Each system has a dedicated developer creating the manual, so the content is limited to each manual and not summarized from a business perspective.
There is not just one form of a manual. The ideal form varies depending on the industry, the challenges faced by each company, their structure, the way they work, and their objectives. Simply adopting another company's method does not guarantee success.
The phase of designing the purpose of our manual maintenance and its ideal state is important.
In this seminar, we will introduce methods for current situation analysis in the manual design phase, know-how for manual design tailored to each company, and examples of initiatives from other companies that are actually working on the development of business system manuals.
We will also hold workshops on analytical methods, so the content will be practical and can be implemented immediately in your company.
This is content that we hope will be useful for those in charge who are working on the development of manuals related to the introduction and renewal of internal systems.
