GitHub × Manual Creation Seminar using Markdown/AsciiDoc

Solving the Challenges of Manual Creation for Development Engineers

will be held.

This seminar is,

We want a system to promote collaboration between the development site and the manual production site.

We want to create a user-friendly manual production environment for developers by combining open source.

"There is no budget that exceeds 10 million, like the cost of CMS implementation."

"I want to enhance the quality of documents written by engineers using tools"

"I want a system that outputs HTML and PDF from a single source"

This is a seminar that we would like those who have such challenges to participate in.

Please feel free to apply!

Overview

Many IT companies face the challenge of the burden on engineers due to manual production using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or tools like FrameMaker and InDesign.

Even if you consider introducing a CMS (Content Management System) to reduce the burden, it is not uncommon for there to be cases where it takes time until operation, and the implementation and operational costs become a bottleneck.

Currently, in IT advanced countries like the US, attention is being drawn to the existence of open source.

Many engineers are utilizing open source that matches their needs in their work.

In addition, there are many engineers who are proficient in using simple markup languages such as Markdown and AsciiDoc.

If your company manages source code on GitHub, you can create manuals in text files, allowing you to manage them in the same flow as the source code.

In this seminar, we will introduce a method to significantly reduce the burden of manual production, which has been a hindrance for developers, by using a simple lightweight markup language for document creation and leveraging open source tools.

A case study of Yamaha Corporation, which reduced production costs by 30% by combining open-source GitHub and AsciiDoc to build a production environment, will also be woven in as we explain a highly feasible production flow!

After the seminar, we will provide individual consultations as needed.

Please check the "Request for Individual Consultation" box on the application form.

Feel free to join us!

*This seminar is based on the content covered in the session "Start Small with Data-Driven - Break Down the Barriers with Development Sites!" at the "TC Symposium 2018" on August 29.
