Background and Challenges Before Introducing Totara Learn
We were using another company's LMS, but the content creation features were limited.
There was no function to link users' IDs and passwords, so it was necessary to issue IDs and passwords solely for the LMS.
The university used Moodle to create some content. There was a need to manage training for all staff, such as medical safety and infection control.
Based on Moodle, we decided to introduce Totara Learn, which can manage training.
Reasons for Selecting Totara Learn
The ability to manage training is a significant point. Since there are instructors familiar with Moodle, Totara Learn was an easy system to operate. There was the advantage of being able to easily modify and add features using plugins.

Implementation Effects
In the 2016 Medical Safety Training, we managed attendee participation on Totara. Each learner was able to check their own attendance status.
There is a requirement to take the course twice a year, but it has become easier to check progress. The transition of materials from the existing LMS was smooth.

SAMSUNG’S BACKSTAGE
In the first month after introducing Totara Learn, the course completion rate increased by 181%, and the number of active users increased by 42%. Totara Learn provides a consistent learning experience across different devices. Open badges and competitions enhance learners' motivation and engagement.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY (ACS)
The American Cancer Society (ACS) has realized blended learning through Totara Learn. Three million volunteers are trained across 900 offices in the United States. ACS needed an enterprise LMS that is easy to use, consistent, accessible anywhere, scalable, and capable of reflecting their own brand image to conduct education for volunteers. The feedback from volunteers has been positive.

HUMANITARIAN LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The humanitarian leadership academy based in the UK is the world's first humanitarian relief academy and is expected to support over 100,000 users. Their Totara Learn, Kaya, uses technically optimized content for delivery to offline players, sophisticated content delivery networks, and humanitarian individuals in crisis.

EASTERN HEALTH
Eastern Health saves 3,000 hours annually in student nurse training with Totara Learn in Australia. Improvements in learning management have also resulted in a 100% completion rate for critical nurse training. Additionally, they save 840 hours per year of nurse educator time, enabling valuable face-to-face sessions.

JETBLUE
JETBLUE JetBlue established the degree program JetBlue Scholars, designed to enable crew members to earn bachelor's degrees. They chose a custom Totara Learn platform to manage this, providing a scalable and user-friendly solution to enhance the learner experience.

VOLVO Volvo
Volvo needed a new learning platform. Their Totara Partner implemented Totara Learn in just 8 business days, meeting the deadline. They are now able to access valuable reports and track learner performance.
