Recently, Digital Transformation (DX) has been gaining a lot of attention in Japan.

In the field of human resources, various HRTech services have been released and I think they are contributing to efforts towards DX.

However, many of these services are focused on adoption, attendance, and salary, such as HRMOS, SmartHR, and freee, and there are not many new services related to human resource development.

As a result, it is likely that the HR department is continuing with traditional methods of talent development such as group training, e-learning, and on-the-job training.

Hasn't the current COVID-19 pandemic caused many Japanese companies to give up on traditional training?

In the current situation where avoiding "3Cs" is unavoidable, it continues to be difficult to conduct group training and alternative measures are necessary.

After the state of emergency was declared in early April, there was a rapid increase in the online and e-learning conversion of group training.

However, on the other hand, many responsible persons may feel that this alone is not enough effective.

Due to the coronavirus, we have entered the era of the new normal.

In the new normal era, conventional wisdom does not apply as usual.

It is the same in the field of human resource development.
