Overview
This time, we will talk about "Improving International Competitiveness! Assetization of Translation and Cost Reduction through Standardization."
This content is understandable even for those who have not participated in past seminars. Please feel free to join us.
As the market becomes more globalized, domestic companies are forced to increase the percentage of their products sold overseas.
Various efforts are being made by each company, such as adapting to international standards, reducing manufacturing costs, and shortening lead times to local release, in order to improve international competitiveness.
Among them, there is an increasing number of companies that are focusing on improving the manuals associated with their products.
■ "We want to differentiate ourselves from competitors in the overseas market by emphasizing the clarity of our manuals."
■ "We want to shorten the lead time for manual creation in order to achieve simultaneous release in each language."
■"As the number of supported languages increases, so does the translation cost. We want to streamline and reduce translation costs."
At Human Science, we believe that "standardizing" translation work is an important step in solving challenges with overseas manuals like this.
Standardization of processes will result in the translation output becoming a reusable asset (high-quality translation memory), leading to shorter lead times and reduced production costs in the future.
In this seminar, we will lecture on the basic concepts of standardization related to translation, such as "What is standardization in translation work?", "Why is standardization necessary?", and "How can we implement standardization?". We will also introduce a case study of a company that has worked on assetization through standardization, and share key points for implementation.
