Overview
This time, I will talk about the theme of "Enhancing International Competitiveness! Assetization of Translation through Standardization and Reduction of Production Costs."
This content is understandable even for those who have not participated in past seminars. Please feel free to join us.
With the globalization of the market, domestic companies are being compelled to increase the overseas ratio of their products.
To enhance international competitiveness, various initiatives are being undertaken by companies, such as compliance with overseas standards, reduction of manufacturing costs, and shortening lead times for local releases.
More companies are beginning to focus on improving the manuals that accompany their products.
■"We want to emphasize the clarity of our manuals to differentiate ourselves from competitors in the overseas market."
■"We want to shorten the lead time for manual production to achieve simultaneous release in each language."
■ "As the number of supported languages increases, translation costs also rise. We want to streamline processes to reduce translation costs."
To solve the challenges of overseas manuals, Human Science believes that standardizing the translation process is an important step.
By standardizing processes, the output translations become reusable assets (high-quality translation memories), which will lead to reduced lead times and production costs in the future.
In this seminar, we will lecture on the basic concepts related to standardization, such as "What is the standardization of translation work?", "Why is standardization necessary?", and "How can we implement standardization?" Additionally, we will introduce a case study of a company that has worked on assetizing translation through standardization, along with key points on how to proceed.
