Language technology that enhances translation efficiency and quality
Like other industries, the world of translation has seen advancements in technology that have changed the nature of work.
At Human Science, we have been introducing various technologies related to translation for over 20 years, leading the industry and earning high praise from our customers as a leader in this field.
And the culmination of our long-standing efforts is our unique language technology services. By integrating various tools and technologies, we maximize the efficiency of translation operations.
(1) Cost reduction through the effective implementation of machine translation
In recent years, machine translation (MT) has been gaining attention, but there are increasing cases of companies abandoning its implementation due to various issues.
For example, there are cases where one might choose a product that does not adequately support Japanese, or make mistakes in the implementation method, resulting in not achieving the desired outcomes.
In that regard, Human Science's machine translation has a wealth of implementation experience in Japanese, and is a well-established solution that has already been adopted in over 315 projects (as of 2017).
Our machine translation services are not uniform or one-dimensional. We provide a variety of technologies that can be freely combined according to the level and role that our clients require from machine translation.

As an example, Google's machine translation service, which is highly rated in terms of quality, has the drawback that it cannot be used for confidential documents due to the possibility of translated documents being reused. However, our company has a unique arrangement with Google that allows us to use this service without the risk of reuse. If you want to complete translations as quickly and cheaply as possible using machine translation, this method is optimal.

Additionally, there are cases where clients already have an MT engine implemented and continue to use it, but are not fully satisfied with the output of the machine translation. In such cases, our company can customize the MT engine to help improve translation quality and usability.

Furthermore, there may be cases where there is existing MT output, but the translation cannot be used as is. In such cases, the optimal method is to perform a human editing process called post-editing on the existing translation. Our company offers cost-effective post-editing that results in natural text with minimal effort.
We provide a combination of services tailored to our customers' needs, achieving a certain level of translation quality while minimizing translation costs.

(2) Streamlining Check Work Using XChecker
I want to streamline the checks and focus on improving the quality of the translations.
XChecker is a checking tool born from the voices of translators. It allows you to quickly check if the translated text complies with style guides and glossaries.
- Quickly verify compliance with the glossary and style guide
- Support for various bilingual and monolingual files
- The "XQA" feature can detect numerical errors, inconsistencies in translations, and errors specific to the Japanese language.
- I want to know effective improvements for the manual
- Includes add-in for SDL Trados Studio
- 1,120 projects implemented *As of 2016

Supports various file formats and can detect errors that are difficult for the human eye to catch, such as numerical inaccuracies and inconsistencies in translations, leading to a significant reduction in work time.
This allows you to allocate the extra time to important tasks that require human intervention, such as refining the linguistic aspects of the translated text.
