As DX initiatives progress, the utilization of internal information assets is gaining attention. In the manufacturing industry, there is a demand to efficiently create innovative solutions through DX, making knowledge management of information assets essential for effectively developing technologies and ideas. A particular challenge tends to be the "personalization of knowledge," where knowledge becomes dependent on specific individuals.

 

・Technical documents such as design documents and drawings are scattered on the server and cannot be found.
・Even if related documents and data are found, the writing style and granularity are inconsistent and difficult to understand.
・Even when referring to work standards, they are written from an engineer's perspective, making them difficult to comprehend.

 

To overcome this situation, two approaches are necessary: improving the accessibility of existing documents and enhancing the clarity of the documents themselves. However, it seems that many people in the design department feel a sense of difficulty in documenting and utilizing their know-how, despite handling a large number of documents.

 

In this lecture, Human Science, which has supported the operations of many companies through manual creation, will introduce examples of how to ensure the accessibility and clarity of technical documents and standards in order to utilize more information assets in their DX initiatives and manage knowledge effectively.
