"Improving Translation Productivity" will be presented at the TC Symposium 2017 Tokyo.

On Friday, August 24, 2017, at TC Symposium 2017 Tokyo

"Improving Translation Productivity from 3 Perspectives: Visualizing, Optimizing, and Automating Translation Quality and Processes" will be announced.

In the midst of technological innovations such as AI and work style reforms, efficiency and productivity improvement have become major challenges in the field of translation work.

However, many companies have taken temporary cost-cutting measures or simply implemented systems to automate without addressing the underlying issues with translation quality and processes.

To improve the efficiency of translation work and achieve true productivity, it is effective to review the quality and process of translation from three perspectives: "visualization, optimization, and automation," whether it is done internally or externally.

- Translation is outsourced to external vendors, making the quality and process a black box.

- Translation work is personalized, and quality and productivity vary depending on the person.

・Machine translation tools are not being utilized effectively

What should be done and how should we approach to solve these problems in translation work?

In this presentation, we will introduce specific approaches to improve translation quality and processes based on case studies of translation improvement in domestic companies, in order to increase productivity.
