Background, Challenges Before Implementing Totara Learn

We used another company's LMS, but the content creation function was limited.
There was no function to link user IDs and passwords, so we had to issue IDs and passwords just for the LMS.
We used Moodle at the university to create some content. We needed to manage training for all employees on topics such as medical safety and infection control.
We decided to introduce Totara Learn, which is based on Moodle and allows us to manage training.

Reasons for Choosing Totara Learn

The ability to manage training is a major point. Because there are instructors familiar with Moodle, Totara Learn was an easy system to operate. There was also the benefit of being able to easily make functional improvements and additions using plugins.

Education being conducted using Totara Learn

Face-to-face (attendance management for medical safety training, etc.)
Performance Management (management of CV certification training, etc.)
Compliance (harassment training, etc.)
Staff Retention (mentoring support at postgraduate clinical training centers, etc.)

Introduction Effect

At the 2016 Medical Safety Training Seminar, attendance management was conducted on Totara. Each learner was able to check their attendance status.
There is a requirement to attend twice a year, but it has become easier to confirm progress. The transition of materials from the existing LMS was smooth.

Waseda Academic Solutions

We have been struggling to maintain our independently developed LMS and have consulted with you.
We have introduced the cloud service "e-CoreLea" of Totara Learn.
