[End] We will present on the theme of manual standardization at the TC Symposium 2016 in Tokyo.

*This symposium has concluded.

On Thursday, August 25, 2016, at TC Symposium 2016 Tokyo

"Standardization of In-House Manuals - Improving Manual Operations for the IoT Era" will be the theme of the presentation.

In this session, we will explore the theme of "standardization" in in-house manual production operations and discuss approaches to improving manual operations for the IoT era.

Many companies that produce manuals in-house are addressing challenges such as improving efficiency and quality. Many of them are currently overwhelmed by the immediate issues at hand. While direct solutions to current challenges are important, we cannot overlook the need to prepare for the upcoming IoT era through structuring and globalization.

It is clear that the introduction of DITA and machine translation is already progressing, and the format of manuals and the content required in manuals will continue to change increasingly in the future.

In order not to be left behind by the changes of this era, it is necessary to start working on the "standardization" of in-house manuals now.

However, simply implementing systems and structures to improve the hardware aspect will not achieve "standardization."

In this session, we will introduce examples of improving soft skills centered around writing skills.
