"Using Machine Translation for Japanese-English Translation! ~Points for Utilizing Japanese-English Machine Translation from Case Studies~" I will be presenting on this topic.

 

In this presentation, we will discuss the key points of utilizing Japanese-English machine translation.

Machine translation (MT) is also being introduced in domestic companies, with a focus on European languages.

However, in translating from Japanese to English, the difference in language structure is still a major obstacle in achieving a sufficient level of quality in machine translation, making practical use difficult.

 

What conditions need to be met in order to utilize machine translation for cost reduction and shortened translation periods in Japanese-English translation?

We will introduce "successful cases" and "unsuccessful cases" by introducing Japanese-English machine translation from among the cases handled by Human Science Co., Ltd.

 

By comparing these two cases, we will consider specific points for utilizing machine translation for the translation of technical documents and instruction manuals, as well as future challenges.

In addition, we will introduce successful case studies of cost reduction and shortened translation periods by implementing Japanese-English machine translation.
