We will present on the theme "The Rapid Expansion of Moodle Usage Due to COVID-19!? An Introduction to the Current Situation" at the Japan Moodlemoot 2021, held from February 18 (Thursday) to February 20 (Saturday), 2021.
Moodlemoot is a conference about Moodle, a widely used open-source LMS (Learning Management System).
Held every February, presentations are made on how to utilize Moodle in universities.
This year, there will be a keynote speech by Moodle CEO Dougiamas Martin on the theme of "The Role of Moodle in the Future of Education."

Summary:
Due to the spread of COVID-19, educational institutions that had not previously engaged in e-learning are now being forced to take action.
Live classes were provided using a web conferencing system, but there were issues with inconsistent delivery and the need for unified management, which has led to increased attention on the use of Moodle. Additionally, there is a movement to record classes and distribute them on demand.
It is said that there are over 100 million users of Moodle, and it is often thought to be primarily used in educational institutions; however, it turns out that it is actually used more in business. Many public organizations have provided group training, but due to COVID-19, in-person training has become impossible, and the provision of training via Moodle is being considered.
As a Moodle partner, our company has received many inquiries about Moodle since the spread of COVID-19. We will introduce the current situation and how Moodle is being utilized.
