We will be presenting on the topic of manual standardization at the TC Symposium 2016 in Kyoto.

On Friday, October 7th, 2016, at TC Symposium 2016 in Kyoto

"Standardization of In-house Manuals: Improving Manual Operations for the IoT Era" will be presented under this theme.

In this session, we will discuss the approach to improving manual work for the IoT era, with a focus on "standardization" of in-house manual production work.

Many companies that produce manuals are working on challenges such as improving efficiency and quality. Many of them are currently struggling to respond to immediate challenges. While it is important to directly address current challenges, it is also important to not overlook the need to adapt to the structured and globalized world of the upcoming IoT era.

DITA and machine translation have already been introduced, and it is clear that the form of manuals and the content required for manuals will continue to change in the future.

In order to not be left behind in this era of change, it is necessary to start working on the "standardization" of in-house manuals from now on.

However, simply implementing systems and structures and preparing the hardware is not enough to achieve "standardization".

In this session, we will introduce examples of improving soft skills, focusing on writing skills.
