We will be speaking at the JTF Translation Festival on "Translation Quality as Seen by the World, Translation Quality as Seen by Japan". (Held on 11/29)

At Human Science, we have developed our own quality evaluation model based on the widely used LISA QA model early on, focusing on quality management and the development of translators through feedback. Since September of last year, we have participated in the JTF (Japan Translation Federation) Translation Quality Evaluation Guidelines Study Group for a year, and at the 26th Translation Festival, we will present as a member of the study group on the topic of "Translation Quality as Seen by the World, Translation Quality as Seen by Japan."

 

In recent years, ISO 17100 has garnered attention as an international standard related to translation quality, but there are other standards and evaluation criteria in the world aimed at managing and assessing translation quality. In this session, we will introduce several overseas standards and the latest translation quality assessment methods, explaining the characteristics of each and the approaches used to manage and evaluate translation quality.

We will also present the analysis results of the "Industry Survey on JTF Translation Quality Evaluation Methods" conducted in July this year, and introduce the current efforts regarding translation quality in Japan.

In the second half of the panel discussion, we will discuss the major theme of "translation quality" based on these topics. Please look forward to the various opinions that will be shared.
