Job Description and Features

As a project manager, I will oversee the overall management of English to Japanese translation projects. The translation coordinator is required to have strong communication and leadership skills to handle tasks such as estimates, scheduling, arranging translators, manuscript checks, and design instructions.
Additionally, attention to detail and perseverance are necessary when conducting checks, requiring a diverse skill set.
While the translation work itself is outsourced to external translators, the translation coordinator plays a crucial role in determining the desired outcome and direction of the translation.
There are two areas for translation coordinators: IT and Medical.
In the IT field, we handle translation projects for software manuals, help screens, websites, and press releases.
Our strength in human sciences lies in having dedicated reviewers, allowing us to provide high-quality translations. We offer high-quality translations that focus on Japanese expressions.
In the medical field, we work on projects such as medical papers, pharmaceuticals, manuals for medical devices and analytical instruments, and writing articles for medical journals, as well as transcribing and summarizing medical presentations. For English presentations, we transcribe in English and then translate.
We also conduct translations for global simultaneous clinical trials, contributing to the expedited release of drugs in Japan. In recent years, there has been an increase in content projects such as video distribution, subtitles, and e-learning through the web.

Technical Writer

Expressing complex and specialized content

Job Description and Features

We create software manuals and complex product manuals for engineers. First, we understand the product information, then we conduct further research and interviews to produce the manuals. In addition to writing, we also plan and design, organizing teams according to the scale of the manuals, and manage the entire project, overseeing budget, schedule, and resources from the director's position. We collaborate with various people both inside and outside the company, such as DTP operators, designers, and translation coordinators, to complete the manuals in about 1 to 2 months.
Technical writers need a wide range of skills, including writing ability, management skills, direction skills, and communication skills.
In addition to manual production, we also support business improvement through reviewing (evaluating) texts from other companies and external writers, as well as conducting seminars and consulting for manual production within our clients' organizations.

Translation Coordinator (Multilingual)

Job Description and Features

As a project manager, I will oversee the entire project of translating product manuals for Japanese products into multiple languages. The job involves estimating, scheduling, arranging translators, checking manuscripts, and providing design instructions, requiring strong communication and leadership skills. Attention to detail and perseverance are also necessary during the review process, and a diverse skill set is required.
The fields of translation include manufacturing, IT, and distribution, among others. The media involved range from user manuals, help screens for specialized software, e-learning content, to narration and subtitles for videos. Some large projects involve translations into over 30 languages. To ensure quality, translations are first done from Japanese to English, and then from English to multiple languages.

Job Description and Features

We provide consulting to help clients conduct internal training "more smoothly and efficiently" by leveraging the know-how gained from manual production and e-learning material production in human science.
First, we conduct interviews to identify the educational challenges within the client's organization. After the interviews, we propose training and material production, as well as the construction of educational support systems (LMS), making comprehensive proposals for educational support utilizing ICT to address educational challenges.
Additionally, we also conduct various training sessions, such as in-house support seminars to enable clients to create their own materials, compliance training, and security training.
