Consulting Sales

PROFILE

Joined Human Science in 2008. As a consulting salesperson, not only do I make proposals to clients and coordinate internally, but I also show an unexpected side of myself as a skilled piano player. I started learning piano at the age of 5 and spent my youth in the school's wind ensemble, surrounded by music. I resumed lessons 6 years ago and recently rented a small hall for a recital.

JOINReason for Joining the Company

I wanted to work with English

I joined a city bank as a corporate salesperson when I graduated. After joining, I immediately started working at the counter during training, but because I majored in English literature in college, I started to think that I wanted to work using my English skills. After one year, I left the bank and was looking for a company where I could use my English skills that I had been studying for. That's when I came across Human Science. I was impressed by the wide range of services they offer and the great personality of the interviewer who would become my boss, and I naturally had a positive image of working there. The atmosphere in the company is calm, which suits my personality well.

CAREERFrom Joining to Now

Acquire new projects with your own strength

After joining the company, I learned the job through OJT while accompanying my seniors. When I had a good understanding of the workflow, the first project I was in charge of was providing corporate training and e-learning for companies. We had already been doing business with this company through our other services, but for e-learning, they were using content from another company. However, we heard that the quality was not good enough for the price, so we strongly appealed our services. I was very happy when they liked it and we were able to secure the project. After that, I have been involved in not only e-learning, but also document and multilingual translation solutions, and now I mainly handle English to Japanese translation.

WORKCurrent Business Content

Utilize your English skills to secure orders

Recently, we have been involved in many marketing-related translation solutions, such as flyers and websites used by sales representatives during proposals, as well as promotional materials for product releases.
There is a reason for this, as it all started when we received a new inquiry from an American data analysis software company. They were having issues with the quality of their Japanese translations on their multilingual website and wanted us to propose a solution. We had the opportunity to present in English during a meeting with the website translation team and decision makers in Japan. The quality of our test translations was highly praised, and we were entrusted with all Japanese translations. It was a great feeling to be able to use my English skills and contribute to winning the project. I couldn't have been happier.

WORTHWHILEJob Satisfaction

To make our customers happy

I think it's rewarding to be able to directly feel the reactions of customers. When I was in charge of e-learning, I was able to receive orders worth millions of yen from customers who I had repeated hearings with. I have fond memories of being told, "I'm always grateful that you come to me right away when I need advice." However, it's not just about making a sale, but I also find it interesting to come up with custom solutions for each customer's various challenges. Additionally, I feel the true joy of this job by sincerely facing the problems and proposing solutions through careful communication in order to meet the requests and achieve results.

FUTUREFuture Goals

Developing strategies from a high perspective

English-Japanese translation is becoming more advanced with the development of machine translation and AI translation. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly difficult to rely solely on human translation. Already, the standard for requests from overseas IT companies is "post-editing," where a human reviews the machine translation. In the future, proposals for businesses utilizing machine translation may become the key. We believe that it is necessary to develop a strategy for which customers and what kind of business we will expand while appealing our strength in technology.
In addition, I hope to be able to contribute to the company's overall sales by being able to handle negotiations, strategy planning, and customer support not only in my current department, but also in other departments.
