After graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration, I became a system engineer and entered the IT industry. After working in system development and operation at an SIer, I joined Human Science in 2019. On weekends, I refresh myself by cooking and playing futsal.
Reason for Joining the CompanyAfter graduating from university, I joined a SIer and was in charge of system development for a life insurance company, a staffing agency, and a major construction company's order management system, as well as operation support tasks. Previously, I had many opportunities to act as an individual, which made it easier to feel my own value and contribution. However, there was a challenge in that there was little accumulated knowledge within the company, making it difficult to move on to the next job. As I gained more and more work experience, I became more determined to work in a way that utilizes teamwork. Through meeting various companies, I was particularly impressed by the down-to-earth personalities of the president and senior colleagues during interviews, as well as the calm atmosphere of the company. I also found the consistent business development in the field of education to be attractive, and decided to join the company.
From Joining to NowAs soon as I joined the company, I was in charge of a project to migrate a large airline's education support system (LMS) to the cloud. It was a project that involved development for customization and version upgrades. The main development languages were PHP and JavaScript, which were difficult for me as I was not familiar with them, but I was able to enjoy my work because it was an environment where I could easily consult with others when I didn't understand something. There is also a high demand for using LMS on a cloud platform, and I am also responsible for system design and server construction on cloud platforms such as AWS. I believe that one of our strengths is being able to propose solutions that meet the needs of our customers, including support after the system is up and running.
Current Business ContentWe provide a wide range of services to universities and companies that are introducing a new Learning Management System (LMS), including support for implementation, plugin development, customization, and building single sign-on with other systems. While handling multiple projects is not uncommon, we work together as a team, taking into account the situation of each team member and dividing tasks accordingly. Personally, I often handle tasks such as creating initial estimates and designing and developing subsequent phases. Recently, there has been an increase in requests for integration between LMS and video conferencing systems from both universities and companies. As a result, we are often conducting technical research to meet the demands of the current era.
Job SatisfactionIt is a great motivation to feel that we are contributing to the development of the education field by providing e-Learning services used by university professors, staff, and students. Also, when we receive words of appreciation such as "I'm glad we chose Human Science" from customers who actually use the systems we have built and developed, it makes us very happy. We feel that we have many opportunities to receive such words of appreciation because we are a company that can directly interact and support customers, including universities, at a close distance.
Future GoalsWe will of course respond to our customers' requests, but we also want to be able to propose detailed best practices tailored to the final operational image, such as "It would be better to have this kind of configuration and consider using these services." We believe that improving our proposal skills will continue to be a major challenge as the way users consume content changes over time. Personally, I also want to work on creating systems to reduce costs, such as automating processes while coordinating within the company.
