After graduating from university, I mainly worked as a web designer. After leaving my previous job, I studied abroad in the UK for about a year and joined Human Science in 2013. Currently, I serve as both a consultant and designer in the Education Solutions Department, proposing overall educational support and conducting seminars and training sessions. The seminars, infused with a designer's perspective and creativity, have received great acclaim.
In my previous job, I worked as a web designer, handling the site design for our company's services. After that, I studied abroad in the UK for about a year to learn languages and graphic design. Upon returning to Japan and exploring various companies, I felt that the interview at our company was very open and casual, allowing for a frank exchange of opinions regarding past experiences and future aspirations, which ultimately influenced my decision to join. Initially, I was also looking at web design companies, but I felt a great potential in Human Science's business, especially since it was at a time of expansion and offered comprehensive educational solutions to support our clients' operations, which led me to decide to join.
For the first two years after joining the company, I worked as a web designer creating e-learning content. After that, I started conducting educational seminars as an instructor, visiting companies that have already implemented e-learning as well as those that are planning to do so, providing support for building educational systems and lecturing on how to create e-learning content. Currently, our team consists of five members, including former writers and designers like myself, and we leverage each member's expertise to address our clients' challenges.
In addition to providing in-house support to individual companies, we also engage in external sales activities such as making new proposals to existing clients and participating in exhibitions to conduct seminars. Furthermore, when inquiries come from new clients, we first conduct hearings and then proceed to propose solutions to their challenges. Clients' concerns vary by industry and size, and there are often high levels of expertise required in educational content. Our company has many years of experience and skills in e-learning content production, so we are committed to leveraging our strengths as e-learning professionals to create the best educational solutions together with our clients.
Because we are a small elite team with a high degree of individual discretion, we can constantly improve our consulting to be "better" and feel the impact of that. For example, typical seminars often have instructors who tend to speak unilaterally, leading to some participants getting bored and falling asleep. Recently, I have been making an effort to participate as a facilitator by providing opportunities for discussions led by the participants. This approach visibly improves the reactions of the attendees, and the feedback from surveys has significantly increased. When I receive direct words of thanks or manage to secure orders on the spot, I genuinely feel that "it was worth the effort." Every day presents challenges that go beyond my past experiences, but I feel a sense of fulfillment that exceeds my expectations when I joined the company.
Our team is still in the process of development. First of all, I believe that all team members should unite to enhance their skills and build achievements as consultants, including seminars and proposals for clients. Personally, I think my role is not to challenge something new from now on, but to further refine what I have been doing and become an "indispensable presence" for our clients. Additionally, I would like to take the initiative to hold seminars aimed at improving the level of proposals and presentations for internal purposes, so that the know-how we have cultivated can be returned to the company.
