After graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration, I became a system engineer and entered the IT industry. After working on system development and operations at an SIer, I joined Human Science in 2019. I refresh myself on weekends by cooking and playing futsal.
After graduating from university, I joined a system integrator (SIer) and was responsible for system development for life insurance companies, staffing companies, and the development and operational support of order management systems for major construction companies. Previously, I often had opportunities to work individually, which made it easy to feel my own value and contribution. However, I felt that there was little know-how accumulated within the company, making it difficult to connect to the next job. As I gained various work experiences, my desire to work in a way that leverages teamwork grew stronger, leading me to decide to change jobs. Among the various companies I encountered, I was particularly impressed by the genuine personalities of the president and senior staff during the interviews, as well as the calm atmosphere of the company. I was also attracted to the consistent business development that contributes to the field of education, which led me to decide to join the company.
Immediately after joining the company, I was assigned to a project for the cloud migration of a major airline's Learning Management System (LMS). This project involved development related to customization and version upgrades. The development languages were mainly PHP and JavaScript, which were challenging due to my lack of familiarity, but the environment was supportive and made it easy to ask questions, allowing me to enjoy my work. There is a significant demand for using LMS on cloud infrastructure, and I am also responsible for system design and server construction on cloud platforms, including AWS. I believe that our strength lies in our ability to provide comprehensive proposals that meet our clients' needs, including support after the system is operational.
We provide a wide range of support for universities and companies that are newly implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS), including implementation support, plugin development, customization, and building single sign-on with other systems. It is not uncommon for us to handle multiple projects, but we collaborate as a team, dividing tasks according to the situation of team members and the specific project requirements. Personally, I often handle the creation of estimates in the initial phase and oversee the design and development in subsequent phases. Recently, there has been an increasing demand from both universities and companies for integration between LMS and video conferencing systems, reflecting the need for systems that meet the demands of the current era, which often requires us to conduct technical research.
It is a great motivation to feel that we are contributing to the development of the education sector by providing e-Learning services used by university professors, staff, and students. Additionally, I was very pleased when I received the words, "I'm glad I relied on Human Science," after our systems that I built and developed were actually used by our clients. I feel that because we are a company that can directly engage with clients, including universities, and provide support at a close distance, we have many opportunities to receive such feedback.
Of course, we will respond to our customers' requests, but we also want to be able to propose detailed best practices as needed, such as "this is the structure we should adopt, and we should also consider using these services" to align with the final operational image. I believe that the way users engage with content will change over time, so improving our proposal capabilities will continue to be a significant challenge in the future. Additionally, personally, I would like to work on creating systems to reduce costs by automating parts where possible while coordinating within the company.
