As work style reform is being promoted, many companies are taking steps towards improving their business operations. As part of this, there has been an increase in companies focusing on reviewing and maintaining their business manuals.

For example...

  • ・We want to create a business manual by the end of this term due to the review of business operations caused by the renewal of the ERP system.
  • ・Since the way of working differs for each location, we want to standardize the way of working by establishing manuals.
  • ・As our business expands, we have decided to significantly increase our hiring. In order to efficiently educate our new employees and standardize our business quality, we would like to create a business manual.

There are many manual creation tools and systems available in the world, but can these issues be solved solely by tools and systems? This is a question that many people may have.

In fact, many companies continue to struggle with the same issues as before system implementation, such as not using manuals and uploading them in a disorderly manner.

Manuals, in the first place, tend to be subjective in judging their quality, making it difficult to objectively measure the effectiveness of improvements. If you blindly start improving or make mistakes in the process, there are many cases where your efforts will be wasted.

To accurately measure the effectiveness of improvements and achieve results that lead to business improvement,

  • ①Organize current issues and needs related to the manual first.
  • ②Clarify the priority of the task and establish a common understanding with stakeholders about the purpose and effectiveness of improvement.

Required.

Our company believes that by sharing the current issues, prioritized issues, and the perspective of what would be the ideal state after improvement among stakeholders, we can finally start the improvement of the manual.

In this seminar, we will focus on the "interview" with stakeholders as one of the methods for visualizing current issues that are conducted as a preface to reviewing and maintaining business manuals. Through the interview, we will share the know-how on how to make issues and needs related to manuals visible.

Based on actual project examples, we will also discuss interview content, subsequent improvement measures, and effectiveness measurement. We hope that those of you who are working on manual improvement will find this information useful.
