Our presentation at the 24rd Translation Festival sponsored by the JTF (Japan Translation Federation) and held on November 26, 2014 (Wed.) for "Quality Control Innovation Creating a New Era in Translation: Setting Translation Quality Standards and Quality Control Processes to Meet a Wide Variety of Needs and Contents" was well-received by the industry.
Over 100 managers from manufacturers and production & translation companies were in attendance.
Participant Feedback
・The QA chart and sampling check standard were informative.
・The section on obtaining agreement from the client and the translation company's desired level of quality at the start of the project and designing a quality control process was good.
・The point about separating translators into categories based on their evaluations was good.
・I want to incorporate this definition for quality requirements right away.
・Objectively quantifying and visualizing the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) was good.
